The decade which began in the early 1970's saw the emergence in the USA, the UK and subsequently worldwide, of the discotheque as a prime entertainment venue for a new, young generation, and of the creation of a new and major role of the DJ.
Cloud Electronics was formed during this period by founding partners Roy Millington and Andrew Colley, specifically to provide this dynamic and growing industry with its own purpose-designed, professional audio tools. The usefulness, rugged longevity and sheer audio performance of these products led to increased sales, an unrivalled reputation and consequently over a number of years, to a much wider demand for Cloud's particular brand of "clearly better sound". So, for this reason, Cloud has steadily expanded its activities worldwide, with extensive international distribution, and also its product range, offering custom-designed solutions to the audio needs of many different styles of venue, entertainment, retail and utility.
March 2008 saw a turning point in the company's long history as founding owners Roy & Andrew officially retired their positions by handing over ownership to Managing Director, Simon Curtis. With the ethos of the company as a key driving factor, Cloud's success and unrivalled reputation will persist going forward. Simon, along with the internal management team has ensured continuity and product quality focus while rapidly expanding product design and the portfolio during 2008-2010.

All products are meticulously tested through a three stage Quality process and sound tested by hand in dedicated sound booths.
